Were similar adds not used to illustrate the difference in CD-ROM read speeds? Can't remember which company it was that used the photograph of some guy 1x, 2x, 4x,...

If you tether (legitimately through verizon) they cap you at 5 GB anyway.....tiered plans most likely are not going to kill anyone

How do you use excessive amounts of data on your phone and still have a life anyways??

what a ripoff. 4g speeds is supposed to bring stuff like streaming video as commonplace for phones, so these dirty cellphone companies feel the need to gank consumers with overage fees.

"An IMT-Advanced cellular system must have target peak data rates of up to approximately 100 Mbit/s for high mobility such as mobile access"

IMT-Advanced celluar = 4G. No network has such speeds, even when they say they have 4G.

It won't be even close to stable 5 mbit everywhere you go.
We have 4g in Moscow, and connection speeds vary from 100 kbit to 3mbit.

I guess at Verizon you can be a moron and still reach the top tier of management. Why would you want to follow in the footsteps of a rival you are beating the crap out of, even with the iPhone advantage?

The CEO of Verizon might want to consider replacing this idiot with someone that can actually form a plan of his own and stop following the AT&T heard.

You want to market yourself as bigger, better and faster than the competition.

We have the best network, the largest coverage area, fastest connections and oh yeah, we don't throttle our users with data limitations. We welcome anyone and everyone to sign up under us. We hear and listen to our users and we are there for them.

Now THAT is how you market your sytem and stay on top.

If they are going to charge more for 4G like Sprint does then no thanks! I'm not interested in their carrot on a stick game of touting technology. It should just work! and work fast!

They probably want to beta/stress test the system beforehand with a controlled release to, hopefully, work out any major bugs.
