I just about managed to read your post and make sense of it.

The factory reset means that to use an external monitor you need to go into the Display settings in Windows.
Or there may be a function key on the keyboard (top row usually) which toggles between laptop screen & external screen.
So have a look on the keyboard.

Otherwise you will have to get your laptop screen replaced with a new one.
