Retrieve file after deletec codec?

long story short i had a gopro video(15 gigs so it has a lot of video footage i want to keep) that i transferred to my pc but i guess i might have accidentally deleted the 2nd file for it(its usually the video avi file then some white page looking file with the same name i think) and now the video wont play. i still have the full video but not the second file. is there anyway i can get it to play? i dont mind if the sound doesn't work i just want the footage thats inside the file :/ help would be really appreciated!

Did you delete it from the memory card or the hard drive? If this was recent then you might try Recuva from Piriform to retrieve the file.
