Right clicking on mousepad disables all left clicking

When i right click on my mousepad the left click stops working. I can still connect a mouse to the computer, and it works fine, but the mousepad left click doesn't. Not even when i tap the touchpad.

Spill something sticky? Might have to take her apart and clean it really good with alcohol and q tips

It's not actually my computer, it's my girlfriends.. And she spilled nailpolish remover on half of the keyboard, and the mousepad, and only the mousepad is acting up.
