Solved! ROG G551VW not boot

ROG G551VW cannot boot since few days ago. Once connectted to power or battery, power indicator, airplane mode indicator, Captial indicator are on but show black screen.
Cannot hear any sound from fan.
Tried the following already but got same symptom all the time.

1. Battery only
2. Adapter only
3. No RAM
4. No Hard Disk
5. Remove cmos battery
6. Disconnect Screen cable
7. Remove whole fan
8. holder power button for more than 60 secs.

Feels like a mainboard issue? Any idea?

It could still be the display. Try this...

1. Turn the laptop off (not sleep or hibernate but off).
2. Connect an external monitor to the laptop.
3. Turn on the external monitor.
4. Turn on the laptop.

NOTE: You may have to press an "external monitor" button. Could be the f4 button or a button with two monitors on it, for the external monitor to work.

If you can see fine on the external monitor, then your attached display, or the ribbon cable that connects it, are your problem.

If you can't see on the external monitor at all, or the problem occurs on the external monitor as well, then it is probably the graphics card/GPU that is the problem, which may require the motherboard be replaced.

You may also want to try hitting CTRL + SHIFT + WIN + B to try and reset your graphics driver as another possible fix.

Thanks for the advice. tried all of them and still got same black screen with same indicator light on.
No change no matter what I press.
Seems like it's motherboard issue.

Nope. External monitor remains black as well.

As it will cost $1000 to replace the motherboard, I'd better just buy a new one using the money.

Is up to you. If it is not the motherboard, and just the GPU (some devices have them separate) then it may well be cheaper. If yours doesn't, well then the new one might be warranted.
