Run three monitora on Asus laptop

Hi. I have this laptop G752vy-rh71.
I have a mini dp, hdmi and thunderbolt 3 dp.
I want to run a three monitor setup without my laptop screen (ie three external monitors). I have read about needing to use dp for three monitors. Now. All my monitors only have vga and hdmi, i read that if i use an adapter, i need to use an active one and also a vga (hdmi wont work). Is this true? How can i accomplish triple monitor? Thanks a lot!
