I have a Samsung tab E. I added a 32 SD card. It knows it's there as I have 2 apps on it. But when I try to download a new app it says no space. How can I down load straight to my sd card. It's driving me mad. I've tried loads of suggestions on here but none for the tab E. Please help.

The only 'legit' way to do so is to update your firmware. If that device allows updating to that version. I personally am not a promoter of things like device rooting, etc., however you can pose question on that subject and other options in the "Rooting, Jailbreaking & Unlocking" Forum. http://www.tomsguide.com/forum/forum-117.html Yes I know it is under smartphones, but they are using the same OS's so the information is the same.
First, your tablet would need to be running, or upgradable to, Android "Marshmallow". Second, your device would need to have not be restricted by the manufacturer. Which sadly does happen. If you are running, or can upgrade to, "Marshmallow" then the following is how to change the SD card to be "Internal" rather than "External" storage. If you can't use these instructions, and have "Marshmallow" then the manufacturer has restricted that device.

How to turn external SD card into internal storage on "Marshmallow".

NOTE: Please be sure you start with a blank SD card. It needs to be blank because when the card is converted to "Internal" storage, it will be formatted (wiped) and encoded (making the cards data only readable by that device).

1. Go to device “Settings”, then select “Storage”.
2. Select your "SD Card", then tap the “three-dot menu“ (top-right), now select “Settings” from in there.
3. Now select “Format as internal”, and then “Erase & Format”.
4. Your SD Card will now be formatted as internal storage.
5. Reboot your tablet.

NOTE: If you don't reboot the tablet, many things may not work correctly, so make sure you do.

Thanks for the quick reply. Could you tell me how to get marshmallow onto the tablet. I have googled it but they all look a but dodgey and don't sound very safe! It's my sons brand new tablet and I don't want to wreck it. Thanks in advance.
