Cable Box HDMI to TV.
Cable Box Analog Audio Out to Receiver.

U will need to click twice, once to signal TV, second to signal Receiver to do switching, but that's what a smart universal remote is for.

If your receiver has a digital audio input then it will sound much better if you use that connection. You can go directly from the cable box or from the TV. If you go from the TV then anything else connected to the TV and any smart apps will also produce sound from the receiver.
Check the TV and receiver manual on how to set the TV and receiver to use the digital connection.
