I have a UN50EH5000F Samsung LED TV. It won't power on. Standby light is on, but pushing power button does not do anything.
When I disconnect the main board from the power board; the backlight comes on.
When I reconnect the main board to the power board, the backlight goes off
No puffy capacitors present.
Replacing main board failed to fix the problem.
The power board is connected to the main board via 14 pin cable.
Outputs ate at goal when I test power board (with the main board disconnected).
Any ideas? If all else fails I suppose I could replace the power board. Seems to be something with the activation sequence....

Thank you americanaudiophile.
I purchased the replacement power board PD55AV1_CHS today and we'll see what happens.
2 questions:
1. is there a pinout somewhere of what the voltages are supposed to be for a properly functioning power board? the reason I am asking is because it is not explicitly stated on my powerboard. For example, for pin 1 it says B13V. With the load disconnected, the output is 13.6V.
2.what equipment would a professional use to obtain voltages with the load connected? My Extech multimeter tips can not fit inside the 14 pin cable.
Thank you in advance
Yelena

Follow up:
purchasing replacement power board from Jimmy worked like a charm.
TV repaired for $30.
So americanaudiophile is right, if power board output is performing well without load, does not mean the power board is alright.
