Samsung Notebook NP300V5A usb's not working

I have this laptop and my usb ports on the right side (by the disk drive) don't recognize anything I plug into them. They are 2.0s and I have checked the device manager which says they are working properly, but I get no dings or dongs or even an error message. There is another usb on the left hand side, and it works just fine so I am at a loss at what to check for. Laptop insides are still fairly new to me. If anyone can give me a suggestion i would greatly appreciate it.

If you plug a mouse into the non-working ports, does it light up? If not then it sounds like the fuse is blown.
If thats the case, some actually have breakers instead which can be reset by removing the charger and battery and holding the power button in for 30 seconds. Reassemble and boot up and if its still dead then you have a fuse instead.
