Get out your manual and go through the specific steps, most of the time it seems that I have had to go through the whole process twice -- and I have connected dozens of Samsung Smart TVs, yet I have no idea why the second connect attempt is seemingly always needed.

Insure that your gateway address is assigning an IP address if you use the auto setting, otherwise set a static address in the gateway network range.

Also, insure that the network range is one that is compatible with your TV.

Are you connection wired or wireless? If wireless, insure that your router broadcasts its SSID and that you enter the correct wireless security passkey into the TV.

Thanks I have tried many times on auto and manual. I put in all ip gateway and what ever else it was asking for and still not connection. My tv is about 150 feet apart but the tv shows my router. I can get on with my laptop and kidle but not my tv.

If you are trying to use wireless at that distance it won't even make a good connection, although the router may show the TV. You will need to get a good pair of powerline adapters. THIS is the best powerline performance site that I have found and my results are quite similar to theirs for all the models that I have tried.

You can use the PL adapters to get the signal near the TV. If the TV lacks an Ethernet port, then just stick an inexpensive router (like TP-Link) on the distant adapter and set it up as a wireless access point.
