Samsung Sound Bar

We have a Toshiba LCD and a Samsung E450 sound bar. They have worked just fine together for several years until recently when Direct TV merged with AT&T now on some of our channels we get sound with no video signal and a scrolling banner stating no video signal. These are channels that we have watched and recorded in the past. Only since this merger have we had problems.
We have contacted Direct TV and they have sent out several techs and they are clueless. Their expert over the phone told us our sound bar is no longer compatible. Does anyone have any thoughts? I do not want to purchase a new bar just because they changed their programming.

Thanks Popatim. Yes we have disconnected the sound bar and yes we do get a picture. Also we have another TV connect to Directv with no sound bar and we get all channels. It appears that this has something to do with DirecTV / AT&T's new programming and how the sound bar processes the HD live and recorded signal. We were getting both HD and non-HD prior to this merge, with only a picture quality difference between the two. Is it possible that their new programming has made my sound bar incompatible? Can you recommend a newer sound bar that would work if a solution cannot be found? Thanks
