Hey everyone. My dad and I just bought this tv used a few days ago. The guy we bought from assured all was working, and he is half right. He had given us an RCA universal remote instead of the smart remote that comes with the tv.

So no settings access or anything like that. We've had a hell of a time trying to get this thing to work. My dad brought home a remote from his work that kind of works. We plugged in a wireless adapter and finally something other than static showed up on the screen.

Now, when I connect to our network it says it's connected, but no internet. That's where we are now. Still can't access any other settings. We've tried setting the DNS to 8.8.8.8 as suggested online to no avail.My next best guess is to plug directly into the router and try that.

Any help would be GREATLY APPRECIATED. At this point, we want to take the 5 remotes we've tried and throw them through the damn screen. Thanks to anyone haha.

Edit: Tried pluggin in directly using ethernet, still won't connect.

Turn off the TV, and reset the router.
Once the router has fully rebooted, turn on the TV, and see if that helps.
The best universal remote I have used is the Logitech Harmony..supports pretty much anything VERY well.
