I have been using a Sceptre TV ( X508BV-FHD) as another 'monitor' for my PC. (specs below) Recently, I suffered a loss of my main HDD, and since then the TV will no longer display an image.
When I plug the TV (via HDMI) in to my video card the computer will recognize it, with the 'new device inserted' sound. The screen goes black on the TV like it is thinking, then after 2-4 seconds, it turns blue and pops up "No Signal" on the screen. Does anyone have experience with this?
I have tried swapping the HDMI ports on the TV, I have not been able to test the HDMI cable as of yet, but seeing as how the computer can detect the TV, I suspect the cable is not the issue. I have the correct drivers for my graphics card.
I also use two Benq G2400WD 24" LCD monitors at my desk (connected via DVI). (As another issue, when the TV was working, I could only get one monitor to work in conjunction with the TV.)
AMD 955 X4 Black Edition 3.2 Ghz
16 GB DDR3 1333
256 GB Kingston HyperX SSD
HIS ATI Radeon 5770
Thermaltake 750 Watt PSU
Thanks for helping!
