So as the title states, I have a Dell Inspiron laptop and it shipped with Windows 7 but is now running Windows 10. On it's initial boot the screen is black but I can hear (oddly enough) the Windows 7 startup sound but I only get a black screen.
If I close the lid and put it to sleep and then open the lid, the screen comes on, I can log in to Windows and everything works just fine. I have tried reinstalling video drivers (Intel HD 3000), disabling the startup program in startup. I am not sure where to go from here, any help would be greatly appreciated!
