send a fax with out a modem

I bought a HP Pavillion and it seems I can't fax anything. Under modems in the control panel, it will just say I have no modem installed. How can I send a fax with out one? I thought all computers had them built in? I have high speed internet is there another way to do it now with out a modem? Is that why it's not included anymore?
