sharp tv model lc42d64u stopped working during storm/is there a way to reset it

Sharp model # lc42d64u turned off during thunder storm, will not come back on. Is it worth fixing ? If so, what part would i replace first.? It was plugged into a surge protector.

The first thing to check is if there is an internal fuse that might have blown. Start looking where the power cord enters the set. The next possible problem is the main power supply board. Most surge protectors are worthless unless you spend enough to get a good one. They also wear out over time.
