Should I Return My Razer Blade 2014 Edition and Wait for the 2015 Edition?

I bought a refurbished Razer Blade 256GB 2014 Edition about a month ago for a steal price of $1800. I managed to get Amazon to give me a bit more time to decide whether to return it or not because of some issues with the fans which Razer has agreed to fix.
$1800 is a steal, I know. However, given the crazy benchmarks and energy efficiency of the new Nvidia 900m series, as well as the energy efficient Broadwell CPUs, am I going to regret this purchase come March-May when the Razer Blade 2015 (probably) is released? As it is now, I am a bit bummed the laptop only has 4 hours battery life, when the old one has 7. Please let me know what you guys think. I'm having a lot of trouble with this decision.

no matter what you buy, 6 months later it'll be obsolete. If your laptop meets your needs enjoy it. 4 hours really isn't bad for a gaming laptop, especially if it's 4 hours of gaming. I can't imagine a gaming laptop actually lasting 7 hours of actual gaming. are you sure you're comparing apples to apples situations?

Oh, no, it's only four hours for like web browsing and basic stuff. The old one had a seven hour battery life because the screen wasn't quite as good (1600x900 vs 3200x1800).

In my opinion, it would be better to return it and wait for next year's model. The 900m series is twice as powerful and is going to save you battery life, however more-so during gaming on battery (Why would you do that anyway?) than it will on basic tasks.
