I recently noticed that I have a "Dell Support Assist" app installed on my machine. My machine was originally a Dell XPS 8700 then I moved the parts to a new case with a new PSU and upgraded the graphics card. Since technically my computer is no longer a Dell, should I uninstall the program?

P.S My warranty expired months ago and I plan on replacing the motherboard to make the computer fully custom.

Right. But they still exist in there, and may be running in the background.

Ok, what would that change in my machine?

This depends a LOT on what is in your Startup.
Many prebuilt machines have too much junk automatically starting up. Using resources for no real benefit.

Dell is probably better than some...but have a look. See what is starting up that you do not need/use. Uninstall that.

I never use any of these "dell update" or "dell recovery" applications.
