shutdown when unplugged

i am using lenovo g500 with i5- 3rd gen processor ,4 gb ram, windows 8.1(64-bit) and AMD Radeon HD 8500M Series graphics , bought in mid December 2013 .
when i unplug my charger ,it shutdown. And my battery chargers only uptill 85%.Its working fine when its connect of power supply .

So when you disconnect the charger, it shuts down and when connected the charger can only charge the battery to 85%. You may need to look at getting a new battery, or checking the connections between the battery and the laptop itself as it doesn't seem that the computer is running off of the battery.

i replaced the battery .... its working now ...
