SME on Thorens TD150?

The older SME arms -- 3009 etc are quite heavy and though commonly used with the 150 I wouldn't regard them as ideal, given the I50's soft suspension.

The 150 is prone to bearing rumble, so choose an amp with a subsonic filter or avoid larger speakers. It offers better isolation than the 160 (though that has a better bearing).

Agreed with fihart - that is a heavy tonearm for that turntable. BTW, I own one but need a new belt. Pretty much listening to cds now.
