Smell of burning only when turning on the PC.

I cannot find the source. It only happens for a short period of time after the PC has been off for a while.
I have a cat in the house could it be it burning dust/the hair of the cat?
The PC performance has not been affected
Any idea what it could be?

It certainly could be hairballs/dust, particularly in the PSU. How clean is the inside of your rig? Have you ever cleaned inside the case?

Also, have you visually inspected the inside of the case for any possible sources (or damage, like melted wiring or fans not spinning)?

Iv checked inside the case all seems fine but i haven't checked inside the PSU

Do not attempt to open the PSU. You can get hurt. You can use a can of compressed air to blow out debris inside the PSU.

There can be wiring issue as well do you check the wires?

does your videocard have a fan in it?
