Solved! Sony BDP-S1500 connected to our projector cannot play DVD

Bought a Sony BDP S1500 connected to our projector. It plays Blue Ray DVD fine. But when insert a DVD, a blank screen with error message HDMI 1 not supported. Please help if you have the solution to fix this. Many thanks.

Try the BD player on another display. Might be defective.
