sony hxr nx5p shutting down

hi guys, has anyone experienced problems with their HXR NX5P Sony camera shutting down whilst recording? Or what about not turning on when a memory card is inserted? I have experienced both last week and now it won't stay on long enough to format the new memory card. Without the card fitted, the camera fires into life and allows you to go through menu's etc, but re-insert a card and it shuts down again. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
