Sony Vaio Pro 13 Backlight problem

During the last few weeks, the backlight only comes on when the laptop screen is opened to the maximum extent.

Does anyone know if the Sony Vaio Pro 13 is fitted with a switch that controls the backlight?

Hi, all laptops have a switch for controlling the backlight, but for your problem, I think the cable is defective.
