Sony vaio recovery

I installed windwos 7 along time ago and it was working fine then lately It started shutting down my pc I thought it was overheating but it wasnt, Now my laptop sony vaio Dosent act like it suppose to be because i wanted to Recover my laptop to factory senttings but Since i dont have any Cd or recovery something for it i used a Desktop CD ... now my laptop has a desktop serial dosent let me change to My normal laptop serial and i dont have any CD's To recover factory sentting please help

I believe that there is a hidden recovery partition in sony's. You can access it by hitting f5 or some other function key when you first turn the computer on.
