Sound problems with samsung 46 lcd very tinney on recorded programs

I purchased a Samsung 46" lcd tv the other day. Sound is great on live tv but is horrible on recorded programs. Very tinney and voume has to be turned up high. Can anyone help?

Interesting, have you swapped inputs? Also, disable all of the sound modifiers on the set. (Commercial auto level, sap, fake surround modes, etc etc)
