Still cannot get sound out of tv from blue ray surround

I have a 2016 Lg tv model # 65UH6030 with a rca 2010 model #rtb1023 blue ray surround sound. I can get the speakers to work with dvds but not with the tv. I have the HDMI plugged into Arc port still nothing. I tried the red and white rca jacks still nothing I tried changing the mode on my tv audio out still nothing posted a month or so ago and found out I needed a audio converter so I bought it. I have the optical digital audio out cord plugged into my tv and plugged into the converted box and my audio red and white cables plugged into my audio in spot and tried audio out too on my blue ray player and tv switched to correct mode on and still can’t hear anything out of the speaker. At this point I’m completely lost so any advice I’d be more than grateful and this point I’m ready to sell it and just go buy some a Bluetooth surround system lol

To use HDMI-ARC you need both the TV and HTS to support it. The RCA doesn't seem to do that so the HDMI connection from it to the TV is for disc playback only and can't get audio from the TV to the HTS.
Since the RCA has an optical audio input and the TV optical out you should not need any kind of converter.
You likely have to turn the optical output on in the TV audio menu. You may have to also turn the TV speakers off. The audio should be set to bitstream to get surround sound. The manual for this TV sucks so don't feel stupid. The guy that wrote it is the one to blame not you.
Select the optical input on the RCA and set the surround mode to your liking. Start with Dolby.
There is no such thing as a bluetooth suround sound system.
