Hello - very big audio noob here, so please bear with me :)

I've currently got a pair of JBL LSR 305 connected with 1/4 jack to an Alpha Lexicon Pro audio interface, which is connected to my PC through USB.

Sometimes (when Im not producing music or using my PC) I would really like to be able to play music without using my PC, since its big, loud and takes a while to turn off. Ideally I would love to be able to just use my phone through bluetooth and play music when I get home from work or school.

So far my understanding is that I need some kind of mixer to split the audio signal before it goes into the lexicon alpha pro, right?

Then the mixer would have cables running out of it going into the lexicon alpha pro (which then goes into the PC) AND cables going into my chromecast audio or some other bluetooth receiver. This way I would be able to use my PC (with the lexicon alpha pro) and use my phone with the bluetooth receiver.

Now the question is, which product would allow me to do this, and is this plan even the correct / most effective way of achieving what I want to achieve?

Thank you very much for reading!

You would only need a mixer if you wanted to listen to both the phone and PC at the same time.
You do need a balanced audio input selector.

You will need a cable to connect the unbalanced audio output of the Chromecast Audio or BT receiver to the balanced input of the switch/speaker.

Thank you for taking your time to respond.

So I would need two XLR male - male cables connecting my monitors to the balanced audio input selector, and then from the balanced audio input selector I would need another two XLR male - male cables going into my lexicon pro.
But at the back of my Alpha lexicon pro there is only 1 XLR input (marked mic). As seen in the third picture on their website: https://lexiconpro.com/en/products/alpha

What would the solution be here?

For the BT receiver I would need a cable like this going into the balanced audio input selector, correct?

Alright I think I've figured it out, so please confirm if I am correct:

I would need:
The switch https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07875KC4F/ref=psdc_172546_t3_B00AZGA8W4

A pair of XLR male - female cables connecting my speakers to the switch

Then a pair of these 1/4 Inch TRS to XLR Male to connect the switch to my Alpha Lexicon Pro
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07J5R4873/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_-CNoCbCGC37K6

Then finally an XLR to jack adapter from the switch to the phone.

Correct?

I'm thinking of buying a JBL LSR 310 S - how would I connect it to this system?

Question from Adrian Revitz : "Will this setup work, and how do I connect a subwoofer to it?"

Currently I have a pair of jbl 305 connected to my PC through a Alpha Lexicon Pro.

I want to be able to connect my phone to the speakers whilst still have them connected to the PC with the lexicon alpha pro.

I understand that I would need a switch for this.

So here goes my plan:

I buy a switch: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07875KC4F/ref=psdc_172546_t3...

Then connect my speakers to the switch with a pair of XLR male - female cables

Then a pair of these 1/4 Inch TRS to XLR Male to connect the switch to my Alpha Lexicon Pro https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07J5R4873/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa...

Then finally an XLR to jack adapter from the switch to the phone.

This way I could easily switch between using the phone or PC.

Correct?

And also I'm thinking of buying a JBL LSR 310 Subwoofer - how would I connect it to this system?

Thank you!
