Stuttering in Games

So not too long ago I got a new laptop mainly for gaming as I am away from my home PC for a while. However, in most games I try to play I seem to be getting strange stuttering, even though the laptop can handle it. While running an FPS counter, the FPS will stay at a consistent 60 (sometimes over 60, I've already tried capping games at 60 to see if that was causing the stutter) yet a lot of the times things feel stuttery. I noticed it first in Doom 3, and then I saw it was happening on MGSV, and it even happens in simple-to-run games like Terraria. However, on Battlefront 2 for some reason, I don't seem to notice the stuttering.

I've already tried reinstalling my GPU drivers, but this did not work.

These are my specs: http://i.imgur.com/teouq4N.png

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,

Please do try these troubleshooting steps that may help.
- Go to Device Manager and uninstall the NVIDIA driver.
- Do the same in Programs and Features, uninstall anything related to NVIDIA graphics.
- Next is to download and install the latest driver from NVIDIA support site.
- Here's the link: nvidia.com/download/index.aspx
- Once installed reboot your laptop for all the changes to take effect.
- And lastly set NVIDIA as the default graphics card.

OK, I'll give that a try, when I uninstalled my drivers I didn't do it from the device manager tab, I'll let you know if it does anything.

OK after doing all this I can confirm that I am still getting stuttering in games.
