I have a set of speakers (sub, center, front right and left, and read front and left) they came with a cheap "theater in a box" set that no longer works. i have a Samsung bluray player that has output jacks for a surround sound speaker set. The speakers I already own have plugs that are for the Panasonic home theater in a box set, but I'd like to know if it's possible to switch the jacks on the speakers to RCA so they could plug into my bluray player?

Edit: The speakers end in this type of plug:

Solution
If it is a standalone BluRay player then it does not have amplifiers so you cannot connect passive speakers to itI

If we are talking about Bluray/Home Theater in a Box then you can change the connectors for RCA. It is important to get the + and - connections correct. The plus usually goes to the center pic of the RCA which will be the center wire. You can cut up RCA interconnects and splice the ends on the speaker wires.
