Hi Warriors,
I'll keep it simple.

What I'm looking for: Tablet

What I'll be using it for: eTextbooks, papers/taking notes, powerpoints, web browsing, audio/video streaming, actual school stuff.

What I wont be using it for: facebook, gaming, instagraming, video calling, photo taking, etc.

Extras that would be nice: keyboard attachment, removable storage, usb port, a stylus that is actually useful.

Budget: <$1000USD but would rather spend <$700

Stores: Any online or brick and mortar. Newegg, Best Buy etc.

I am willing to use Windows, Android, or iOS.. Thanks in advance for any and all suggestions.

While I like the simple cheaper Android tablets like the Nook HD we have at home, for what you will be using it for, you may want to get a Windows RT tablet, simply for the productivity applications.

Although for your price, I really suggest a thin/light laptop instead. You can get a nice UltraBook with almost the same size as a tablet but with a LOT more functionality and flexibility. $750 with a touch screen http://www.dell.com/us/p/inspiron-15z-5523/pd?oc=fncwg27b&model_id=inspiron-15z-5523

Or check here for a bunch more http://www.newegg.com/Ultrabooks/Category/ID-259

In your case i think a surface tablet would work well. The microsoft surface pro 1 is 700 dollars now, right where you want to be; just add a keyboard attachment or buy a 10 dollar usb hub and run an actual mouse/keyboard. Or you could get the surface pro 2 for ~900 with slightly better specs and battery life.

Sidenote; the pen would be great for taking notes with!
