term confusion: monitor

On a Sharp LC-37G4U 37" AQUOS LCD Flat Panel TV (Silver), there is a listing of:
"Monitor: No (includes NTSC PLL synthesizer tuner)"

Does any one know what that means?

That means it's not a monitor, so it has a TV tuner in it. A monitor is just
a video display device, requiring a set top box such as digital cable or
satellite to get a picture.

However, it isn't a digital (ATSC) tuner, just a plain old analog one.
