The New Macbook Pro - Question about the Retina display

So the new Macbook Pro has a monster resolution of 2,880 X 1,800, which isn't a natural resolution. So how will it affect gaming for example? I'd have to choose a lower resolution because of the games' limitations, and then what? Will the game look bad or...

So how does it work?

It will be weeks before these will be released to the public, when someone will have a chance o benchmark them. Until then - only speculations...

I think I didn't explain my question quite well: how nice / ugly does a game looks like when played in an unnatural resolution? If my screen supports up to 1920 X 1200 for example, but I choose to play an FPS game at 1680 X 1050 - will the game look "bad" / blurry / or anything unnatural / "not nice"?
