The Piano Laserdisc

Anybody have "The Piano" on laserdisc? I won a copy on Ebay. It seems to end
abruptly on side 1 right in the middle of a scene in which the little girl
is petting and talking to her dog. I'm just wondering if this is normal, or
if there's something wrong with my copy.

That's how it is. The scene where the little girl is commiserating
with the dog about being left out in the rain ends abruptly,
and side 2 starts with a hand waving right in front of the camera.
