This is a thread for the discussion of Thinkpads
I have question about thinkpads
I want to purchase a thinkpad second hand on ebay, under £300-350 recommend me a thinkpad !

Solution
The best used ones to get period are the t420 or t430 they can be gotten for a lot less than a new thinkpad and perform the same. Hands down best used ones to get. The 440p Is also okay but deviates from the traditional thinkpad design too much.

Good idea for a thread.

I have a question myself. Which configuration of the thinkpad P50 would you recommend for maximum £1300. Also, like about using maya or other 3d modelling programs. How big the difference would be between the quadro m500 and the 1000 and the 2000?

T430 is very nice, however, i am an IT engineer and i would prefer it to be a a smaller size, such as 12 inches, i would also like to play Minecraft when i go to my GFs house too XD

I used to work for an architecture firm called Zaha Hadid, they used T430s aswell as M6800s from Dell for their Travelling, if you can afford it, i would recommend the M6800 just because they used them and i never had any complaints, additionally its HUGE AND VERY WELL BUILT! and looks very proffesional

X series Thinkpads are 12.5 inches you should look for sandy or ivy bridge or newer and get one, they have long battery life, and they are built like a tank.

Absolutely, I'm just stuck between which x laptop to get, and whether or not I need a convertible, I'm looking at the x240 at the moment

If you get the x240, get the extended battery if you can the 9 cell i think it is. You can get like 14 hours of battery tops out of it. Its crazy.

It would be a lot better if you list your exact requirements first.
