Thinkpad W 510 power/performance issue

Hello,
My Thinkpad W510 has a mysterious performance issue when it's on its original 90 W, 20 A charger (no matter if the battery is in or not). It's about 10 times slower than when it's on battery. Tested it with new charger, but still ran slow.
What could be done, do you guys have an idea of its root problem? Would it be possible to hook up the charger's end to the battery bay connector?

I have not seen a W510 with an 90 watt charger, that is too low to properly work with it. Get the 135W one, should be pretty cheap on eBay. Heck, I have a bunch if you want one and you are in the US, send me a PM.

I suffered from the same problem and you can solve it by following these steps:
1- go to bios
2- choose config
3- Choose power
4- change ALL settings to "maximum performance".
5- exit power and then go to memory section.
6- enable "extended memory".
7- save all settings and exist bios.
Your laptop should be extremely fast by now
