To have sound of new led tv from old 5.1 Sony home theater

I have connected my old Sony 5.1 home theater MHC GRV 100AV to new Reconnect Led tv RELEG4301.No sound came out from home theater. Kindly advise me whether my old Sony Home theater(1998 model) will work on it or not as it wss working smoothly on my old Tv.

No info on the Sony comes up online.
If you have made the connection between the TV and Sony then check the TV menu. You may have to turn the audio output on, the TV speakers off, or change the audio output type to get it to work.
