Hi I've been in a bit of a catch-22 I think.For a while I have had
Evil Dead on laserdisc.The Elite Entertainment boxset still sealed.I'm
very unsure if I should open it and enjoy it or keep it in it's
plastic.Or possibly sell it and buy a mint copy.I would have to get at
least 14$ for it though.Any Suggestions?

$ 14 ? Is this a misprint?
I left my OZU set sealed so I could get $ 800.00 for it.

It's been mentioned before in this group that sealed laserdiscs are of
dubious value. Some people ask that they be opened before they commit to
buying them to guard against rot and cracks.

I've had a few discs that came sealed. I did'nt even know they were sealed.
The "Man From Uncle Vol.2" set came sealed. A couple of the Laurel and
Hardy discs I've bought have come sealed. I have to admit I did'nt like
opening them, but not opening them is irrational. There may be some folk
who value sealed discs -- not me.
