Question Tobisha satealite windows 7 forgot password cannot start in safe mode.. virus?

I have a tobisha satellite laptop that i cannot get into,
I suspect it may have a virus of some sort.

I forgot my administrate password which is the only account I use and it won't start in safe mode (it freezes when running through the start up if I choose any of the safe mode options) - black screen with files it's trying to load etc.

Is there a way I can gain access to my laptop?

I have some files I would like to get off it if possible.
though ultimately I would like to wipe it clean.

It is currently running windows 7.

any help would be greatly appreciated.
