Toshiba replacement power adapter

Model is Satellite A300... and that link is for Tip compatibility... I just want to know if the difference of 10W will be a problem, or not?

10W more than rated COULD fry it, OR it could charge faster. 10W UNDER rated could mean that it could drain the battery while it's plugged in and it WILL take longer to charge.

umm prvtchurch you're wrong.... wattage is a measure of amps * volts therefore extra wattage will NOT fry it out... but lower wattage could stress the power supply potentially frying it, but more than likely just not providing enough juice... amps are pulled not pushed in other words a device is not going to get more watts than it needs... voltage is what fries equipment. I recommend getting the rocketfish 90w adapter it's available at bestbuy if you need one immediately otherwise order it from amazon.

Yeah I realized that after posting it.

it's cool most people don't know enough about electricity (myself included) but imagine if a 1000 watt power supply were in a low end system... it would work... it would be a waste, but it would work

exactly... the rocketfish 90w adapter supports 15-20v laptops... I believe yours is 19 volts and will operate perfectly with it.

I managed to get new original power adapter, and it was in the same price range as universal... So I just bought that one from Toshiba's official service shop.

Thanks for your answers... This thread can go as solved.
