transferred existing photos to sd card, now I can't see them.

I received my SD card in the mail today since my phone memory was filled up. I transferred my photos to the SD card and now they seem to be gone but when I go to storage and select SD card it shows that there is stuff on the SD card. Please help because I am freaking out I have tons of pictures for my 2 month old daughters picture a day project 🙁

What photo/gallery app are you trying to use to view them? Might just need to tweak the settings in the app to change what folder directory it reads when locating pictures.
