Can you tell me whether the Hard disk Segate 160 gb is compatible for my Dell Inspiron 1100 series ??

Hi naveengopal,

IT IS IDE HARD DISK SEGATE 160 GB, A NEW ONE PURCHASED ON SUNDAY 03-07-2011 WHICH WAS FIXED IN ITS BAY. BUT WHEN BIOS A-25 IS RUN IT SHOWS : PRIMARY HARD DRIVE : NONE.

OTHER DETAILS YOU MAY REQUIRE - Intel P4 - 2.40 GHz; service tag: 3CF0041; System memory : 1024 MB

Kindly help me out to make my Dell Inspiron 1100 Laptop to detect the new Hard disk so that I can go further to install the O.S. XP to make it work !!!
