Troubleshoot Sony tv connection to Onkyo sound

My Onkyo receiver TX-DD575X is connected to my Sony 65 " 850 C tv. After I unplugged the television from the power outlet, I cannot get sound through the Onkyo receiver. I have no clue which setting could have changed after I unplugged just the television.

I have the installer coming out tomorrow, but would like to see if anyone knows what setting could have changed and how I can fix it.

Go into the TV audio menu and turn on the optical audio output. You may also have to turn off the TV internal speakers.
Check that the audio output type is set so you get surround sound.

Thank you for your reply. The GEEK SQUAD was able to fix it. It was actually the input in the back of my Onkyo receiver that had stopped working...he just plugged it into one of the other input connections. Apparently, just a coincidence with me unplugging it and the input connection going bad.
