If your receiver has ARC (if not then use the optical audio out instead) then it would need to be connected to the HDMI input on the box labeled ARC. ARC may need to be turned on in the menus of both the box and receiver.

The Onkyo receiver has an ARC HDMI output. I HDMI'd it to the Samsung "One Connect mini" input labeled HDMI ARC. I am not sure if you are familiar with the Samsung One Connect mini hub. It is a device that is external to TV that I guess is utilized in switching all HDMI sources and allows the use of just one convenient HDMI connection to the back of TV. Is there any specific way I need to connect this? Samsung support was of no help when I attempted a live chat to troubleshoot this issue. There must be something that needs to be disabled/enabled for this to work properly.
