Turntable Speed

Hello,

My husband has been busy moving my beloved Technics turntable around (different shelves, floor, disconnecting cables, etc.) and now, the speed is so whacky, I can't use it or figure out how to fix it. Next, there is a humming problem when I lift the arm. Any help or suggestions are appreciated.

Which model Technics ? Is the speed simply wrong or is it wavering ?

The humming is probably because you have not reconnected the earth wire between the turntable and the amplifier's earthing post.
