ebay but not torrents.... HHHMMMMMMmmmmm some colonel/general must need their porn 😉
or maybe torrenting actually has a good legitimate use within the military?!
just a note of interest, not really a concern. no need to respond about that...just interesting food for thought.

[citation][nom]Yoder54[/nom] But wait, grunts probably have no use for Facebook it is the REMF's that would be dependent on it, in which case it should be banned permanently.[/citation]

I guess haters are gonna hate...

anyway, proxies dont work, the easiest way for them to get online would be if they had a phone with 3g or 4g and tetherd it to pc/laptop to get full unrestrictive internet

Well then if your life ever depended on someone else, then lets hope they are the dumbest most ill informed person alive.

Any American soldiers reading this..what are your views on the Mexican border chaos, and just how many innocent civilians have been killed by criminals illegally coming across the border? What do you feel about defending your own country from such threats, as opposed to being set thousands of miles away to fight foreign wars?

Apparently most of the American people do want something done about the border situation; they've been demanding action for years. Yet still, the numbers speak for themselves and so does the carnage, including the damage inflicted upon the environment and the threat to long-term economic sustainability. Now this is my view, which I believe I'm allowed to express as per my freedom of expression. I would like to see you looking after American interests closer to home, and I think a lot of you are dying needlessly simply to fund private, offshore, economic interests. God bless you and stay safe.

Several sites are blocked by default. This list is of additional sites that will be blocked on a temporary basis. They are very strict about access. For example they just allowed this year for us to have access to public web based email (gmail, hotmail, etc.).

This wouldn't be possible either. The systems are completely locked down and we don't have any sort of admin rights. We are also forbidden to plug in any personal device into a government owned device. So no thumb drives, removable hard drives. We can't even plug in our phones via usb for charging only.

What? I though our Military fighting for freedom. Oh what happed? I must be dreaming that need to wake up.

They fight for OUR freedoms, not THEIRS. They willing give up some of their freedoms to serve.

people who think the military fights for peoples freedoms, are stupid/naive/brainwashed

Tell that to the thousands of people who gave their lives for yours, you worthless ignorant asshole. That goes for the rest of you who are saying that the military is withholding our freedoms...

actually they do fight for your freedom, although i wil admit they dont tell you exactly what you are getting involved in when you join

would anyone want to join the army if they were told that there was a 10% chance of coming home in a box and a 60% of loosing a limb

there will allways be properganda

the wars over their are a joke... we have a was 20 miles away from where i'm sitting and our gov't could care less. our country is the problem not the solution over their, but hey at least we gave millions of people a reason to hate us even more...

[citation][nom]chumly[/nom]But not facebook, which by the way, if you're in the military, is how you spend 90% of your day already.[/citation]
That's not very fair... I'm in the Air Force, and I say 30% of your day is spent on facebook.

I don't see how dying for big oil corporations war efforts amounts to protecting personal freedom. Last I checked it is still illegal to smoke pot, gays can't marry each other, and the country is still run by fervent Christians that make it their duty to discriminate against all non-Christians, especially Muslims.

You're kidding yourself if you think the military protects freedom.

Quoted wrong person, but anyway I don't see how dying for big oil corporations war efforts amounts to protecting personal freedom. You're kidding yourself if you think the military protects freedom.

It is kinda stupid to assume that the military is protecting your freedoms against internal threats or politician agendas of our own politicians.

The military is protecting you from someone like Hitler or Stalin from invading this country and getting rid of our Constitution. All of the rest of the politician things that you mention like gays, drugs and discrimination are outside of the scope of the military. For those, you have the right to vote, the right to protest and the right to assume political office yourself.

A military that protect us against internal threats would be a great tool for a dictator! That is why it is specifically ban in our Constitution.
