Unable to root Android tablet?

So I am trying to root my Acer Iconion B1-710 Android 4.1.2 tablet.

I have tried 2 methods so far including:

KingoRoot
SRSRoot

--

I keep getting the error from both methods which say:

Make sure your device is connected in Android Debug mode, and the drivers are installed. then try again."

I think I installed the drivers correctly and my tablet IS in USB debug mode but for some reason when I plug it into my computer, it tells me that its not.

Any help?

Thank you for the link! It seems like this would work but I have no idea how to use any of the files that have to be downloaded.
