My mom sent me her us cellular phone and I put my Verizon sim card in it and now I have a triangle over my bars and only 3g when I pay for 4g. How can I fix this? Or do I need to not use this phone?

Did you contact Verizon to activate the phone? Did you check if the phone will work properly on the Verizon network?
