USB 3.0 Ports Not Working?

Hello. Recently I have started having issues with my USB 3.0 ports on my laptop.

I was using them to plugin a Zelotes gaming mouse and a Steam Controller. Usually on boot the mouse (mouse has LED lights) and the controller would light up, but now they sometimes don't. I have to shut down the computer and turn it back on again and then back off until they start working.

I have tried multiple devices in the ports, but nothing. I went and uninstalled the USB drivers in device manager, booted up the computer for Windows to re-install them, and that didn't fix it either.

Today I went and looked for driver updates for my laptop, updated the BIOS, and the drivers for USB 3.0 and still nothing.

Would anyone have some insight into why this might be happening?

Hi, you did not mention the make and model of your laptop, you may have a problem with the controller for the USB port on the motherboard.

Sorry about that. Its a Dell Inspiron N7110 running Windows 7.
